A tonne of coal was bought from this coalyard for the installation/ performance Anthropogenic Flux for the Lodz Biennale. Poland has an abundance of high quality Black Coal which is the primary energy source for industrial and domestic use. The old man working here was very nervous about who we were as he was working black and feared we would tell the police (click on thumbnails below for enlarged image)..
